FIONA. J. SCHOLES Senior Exploration Geologist B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc.

 

  • Graduated with B.Sc. Honours in Geology from the University of Greenwich in 2002.
  • Graduated with M.Sc from University of the Witwatersrand in 2008:

o         Title: Geology and Mineralisation of the Sheba’s Ridge area, Eastern Bushveld Complex, South Africa.

  • Exploration experience in base metals, precious metals and limestone aggregates.
  • Joined CCIC in 2005 to work on the Rustenburg Exploration projects for Anglo Platinum.
  • Experience in Western Bushveld exploration in Rustneburg, Amandelbult, PPL, and Pandora and in the Eastern Bushveld at Sheba’s Ridge and Der Brochen.
  • Experience in underground geological mapping and mine planning.
  • Database Manager user of Sable Data Warehouse on several projects.
  • Competent in all aspects of exploration geology including target identification, drill-rig management, geochemical studies, core logging, sampling, creation of successful QA/QC procedures, project management and report writing.
  • Certificate in new style management.
  • During her current role as Regional Manager for the Western Bushveld projects Fiona has developed and implemented QA/QC procedures according to the SAMRAC code of practice.
